The Legion of Free Russia informed that guerrillas in Russia were assisting the insurgents in conducting their military operations and that the deliberate killings of Kremlin officials were highly likely to occur.
Russia's insurgents are focusing on Kremlin authorities for elimination as they gather strength, as per a prominent rebel who spoke. Significant political assassinations have shaken the Kremlin since the conflict with Ukraine began in 2022.
In August 2022, Darya Dugina, the daughter of the ultranationalist Russian philosopher Aleksander Dugin, was killed in a car bombing. This was followed by the assassination of a prominent pro-Kremlin blogger, Vladlen Tatarsky, in a cafe in Saint Petersburg in April 2023. The responsibility for both attacks was claimed by a Russian dissident group known as the National Republican Army.
Nonetheless, the absence of any further deadly assaults within Russia by the partisans has raised doubts regarding their current operational status. Alexey Baranovsky, a dedicated fighter affiliated with the Free Russia Legion, has shed light on this matter, asserting that the partisans are still active and gaining strength. He further suggested that additional political assassinations are imminent.
In a rare disclosure of their modus operandi, Baranovsky elucidated that the partisans primarily serve a crucial role in facilitating attacks conducted by rebels and the Ukrainian army deep within Russian territory.
"These groups have distinct responsibilities and assignments," he expounded. "One individual identifies a target, while another conducts reconnaissance. Someone else prepares the necessary weaponry or drones, and another individual launches them. Lastly, someone records and documents the outcomes."
"Furthermore, it is important to note that the various links within this network are not acquainted with one another. This ensures that if one cell fails, the overall partisan network remains unaffected."
The Russian Freedom Legion operates a partisan network that conducts reconnaissance missions to identify targets for their raids in the border regions of Belgorod and Kursk, providing crucial intelligence on Russia's military to the rebels.
When questioned about why the rebels and partisans were not targeting Kremlin officials like their counterparts in the occupied regions of Ukraine, Alexey firmly stated that such actions would occur shortly.
"Efforts to eliminate key enemies responsible for the oppression of Russia and aggression against Ukraine are also in progress," he explained.
"However, operating in a totalitarian state presents challenges. Nevertheless, all adversaries of freedom will face consequences sooner or later, rest assured!"
Ukraine is currently grappling with the challenge of repelling the Russian invaders, while also facing difficulties in replenishing its army with weapons and troops.
Alexey, a drone operator, confidently dismissed any pessimistic claims, assuring that Ukraine and the Russian rebels will successfully repel Putin's forces and push them back to their origin.
"Do not hastily assume our defeat - these are mere fallacies propagated by Putin, claiming his victory," he asserted. "Indeed, they may be gradually advancing, at the expense of numerous lives lost in their reckless offensives. Undoubtedly, the Ukrainian Defence Forces face significant challenges.
"However, Ukraine has fortified its positions, constructing formidable defensive structures, and it is always easier to hold a defensive stance than launch an attack. Therefore, the conflict will persist and become a protracted positional struggle."

In a call for increased Western military aid, he further stated: "We acknowledge the importance of elections, lobbying, and opportunism, but the daily loss of our children due to Russian attacks cannot be ignored.
"No political games are worth the sacrifice of human lives, which Ukraine is currently enduring as a result of its decision to align with the free world. Therefore, we urge your support."
