Russia Issues Furious Warning After Ukraine Aid Bill

The news of the U.S. Congress approving an aid package for Ukraine has sparked a strong reaction from the Kremlin. They are expressing their anger and concern, stating that this move will result in the loss of more Ukrainian lives. After months of political disputes, the U.S. House of Representatives finally gave the green light to over $60 billion in aid for Ukraine, which could potentially have a significant impact. Additionally, they also approved substantial aid for other U.S. allies. The next step is for the Senate to vote on the package, and then it will be sent to President Joe Biden for his approval.

According to Dmitry Peskov, a spokesperson for the Kremlin, the decision will lead to the United States becoming wealthier, while causing further damage to Ukraine and resulting in more Ukrainian casualties, all of which he blames on the Kyiv regime. In a statement reported by Russia's state news agencies, Maria Zakharova, a spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, claimed that the provision of military assistance by the United States to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan would worsen the global crisis. Dmitry Medvedev, the former Russian president and current deputy chairman of Russia's security council, criticized the approval of new aid to Ukraine as "Russophobic" and believed it would only increase the number of victims in the ongoing war.

Medvedev expressed on Telegram that he genuinely hopes the United States doesn't rush into a new civil war. It's important to note that Ukraine has been caught in a full-scale war for over two years, relying on Western assistance to counter Russia, a much larger nation that has effectively prepared its defense industry for war.

Ukrainian officials and experts from the West had previously cautioned that Kyiv would continue to lose territory to Moscow if it didn't receive military assistance from the U.S. They also warned that a new offensive from Russia could begin as early as next month. The Ukrainian forces have faced

shortages of crucial supplies like ammunition and interceptor missiles for their air defense systems.

In a statement, Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky expressed gratitude for the much-needed aid, stating that Ukraine has been fighting for it for a long time. He described the package as highly significant, emphasizing the importance of every form of support for their country's independence, people, and way of life, which Russia is trying to undermine.

Andriy Yermak, Zelensky's office chief, expressed Ukraine's deep appreciation to the U.S. Congress for approving the military aid package bill. He emphasized the importance of this support for Ukraine.
